Heat pumps

Heat from the air outside, even in winter.

Air-to-water and air-to-air heat pumps sized to the building.

A heat pump unit outside a modern building

Why it matters in Kashmir

A heat pump moves heat from the outside air into the house, using electricity to drive it, so it delivers more heat than the electricity it uses. It works best in a well-insulated building with low-temperature heating such as underfloor, and it must be sized from a proper heat-loss calculation to cope with Kashmir’s coldest nights.

What we do

What is included

  • Sizing from the heat-loss calculation
  • Cold-climate air-to-water and air-to-air units
  • Integration with underfloor heating and hot water
  • Controls and weather compensation
  • Servicing

This is why we design all nine systems together: change one, and the others need to know.

Your questions

Asked and answered.

Do heat pumps work in a Kashmir winter?

Cold-climate heat pumps are designed to keep working well below freezing. Sizing and the building’s insulation decide how well they perform on the coldest nights.

Can a heat pump also make hot water?

Yes. Air-to-water heat pumps can heat both the floors and a hot-water cylinder.

The first step

Start with a heat-loss check.

We visit, measure and calculate how your building loses heat, room by room. Then we show you what would change, what it costs and what it saves, before you commit to anything.
